Acquisition strategy

Acquisitions are a central part of how Comfortgruppen grows. Since the group was formed in 2022, we have completed more than 70 acquisitions. We are looking for profitable companies with strong local roots and owners who want to continue operating under the Comfort brand.

What we are looking for

We are looking for profitable companies with stable operations and a strong presence in their local market that complement our offering geographically. It can also be about strategic broadening of competence within a specific area. The acquisition process is well-structured and consistent, and is driven by a dedicated internal team with extensive experience in transactions and integration.

Approximately 30 per cent of the acquired companies were previously partner companies within the Comfort network. This is proof that the model works: companies that already know Comfortgruppen choose to take the step into the group.

"We are looking for profitable companies with strong local roots and owners who want to continue running their business."

Our acquisition process for long-term value creation

1. Strategy

We are looking for companies that complement and strengthen our offering, with clear local roots and a culture that harmonizes with our own.

2. Identification

We work in a structured and proactive manner to identify acquisition candidates. Prospects come from both our own network and from external contacts, recommendations and outreach dialogues.

3. Implementation

We handle the entire transaction process, from offer to due diligence and agreement. Proven and well-structured working methods create security for both sellers and the group.

4. Integration

We use a clear process with support from our dedicated integration and onboarding team, introduction at headquarters and ongoing contact with regional managers. The company's local strengths are to be preserved.

5. Follow-up

Continuous monitoring ensures that each company reaches its full potential. It is also an important part of our quality work and allows us to continuously develop and improve processes.

The ownership model

A central part of Comfortgruppen's acquisition model is that in most cases, selling entrepreneurs reinvest in the group. This creates long-term incentives, preserves entrepreneurial drive and ensures that local expertise remains in the company. Comfortgruppen is owned by approximately 700 shareholders, all active in the business.

The companies tell us

"Keeping our established name and continuing as our own company, combined with close collaboration, was crucial for us. The initial period has clearly shown that it was the right decision as several new synergies have already emerged."

Martin Hansson, CEO, Power and Assembly in Syd AB

"For us, it was a natural step in our development as a company. As a previous partner company, we know the organisation and its strengths well. It is a growing group and it is inspiring to be part of that journey."

Jens Nyhlén, CEO, Tranås Rörservice AB
