Environmental sustainability

We continuously work to limit our own impact, while a large part of our contribution is made through the solutions we develop together with our customers.

Changing needs

The need for energy efficiency and climate-adapted infrastructure is rapidly increasing, and this development creates opportunities for us to contribute expertise that makes a real difference. In this way, our internal responsibility is combined with our role in supporting the transition towards a more sustainable and resilient society.

Our climate goals

Comfortgruppen's climate goals are based on the Paris Agreement and include Scope 1, 2 and 3.

  • Goal 2030: At least 55% reduction in CO2e emissions compared to the base year 2024
  • Goal 2045: Net zero CO2e emissions throughout the value chain

We conducted our first climate calculation in 2024 according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. In 2025, we refined the calculations and now include more Scope 3 categories. This gives us a clearer picture of where the impact occurs and what is most significant to address.

Outcome 2025

Emissions amounted to 39,175 tCO2e in total (Scope 1–3), of which Scope 1 accounted for  tCO2e and Scope 2 for 748 tCO2e. The large increase in Scope 3 compared to 2024 is explained by refined calculation methods and the inclusion of more categories.

Scope 1-2 emissions per employee amount to 2.2 tCO2e/employee and per SEK in revenue 1.1 tCO2e/MSEK.

“We have reduced our emissions per employee and per revenue krona compared to 2024.”

Where do the emissions occur?

The largest sources of emissions in our own operations are our vehicle fleet and energy use in premises. We have just over 1,000 service and transport vehicles around the country and a large number of our employees work with customers on a daily basis.

In the value chain, the greatest impact comes from purchasing materials and products. This makes supplier collaboration a central part of climate work.

This is how we reduce our impact

Electrification of the vehicle fleet

We are gradually electrifying our fleet. In 2025, we have increased the number of electric vehicle suppliers to make the transition easier for our subsidiaries. We are also implementing a GPS-based system for the entire fleet to improve the calculations of Scope 1 emissions and drive more resource efficiently.

Materials and purchasing

A structured purchasing model and close dialogue with suppliers create better product choices and increased transparency. In 2025, approximately half of our suppliers in electricity, plumbing and ventilation stated that they have environmental product declarations (EPDs) for parts of their range. We continue to increase the coverage rate, including through industry dialogues within RSK and SEG.

Circularity in projects

Circular and resource-efficient working methods are integrated into the planning of our assignments. This reduces material waste, transport and the need for new production. Projects such as the renovation of the Sweco building in Stockholm show how it can be done in practice: 400 ventilation components were dismantled, cleaned and reassembled for a new life.

Energy-saving offers

We are continuously developing offerings that help customers save energy and reduce their climate impact. This includes solar installations, charging infrastructure, energy audits, pump services and support for environmental certification of buildings. The EU taxonomy and EPD requirements are also driving demand for documented sustainable installations.

Governance and policies

Climate and environmental work is governed by our group-wide management system, which meets the requirements of ISO 14001. Annual independent audits ensure compliance with legislation and internal and external requirements.

Our environmental policy states that we will take responsibility for our climate and environmental impact, prevent pollution and reduce waste through circular working methods. The Supplier Code of Conduct requires that business partners also act in accordance with international standards for environmental protection.
